Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Reviewed By: Jason Thomas

Well this is a difficult review to write. I saw the film with two friends of mine and was quite embarrassed. Dogs’ humping each other along with a little robot humping Megan Fox’s leg was a bit much for me. Not to mention the use of foul language by Autobots and the live action cast was also bit much and would have made for a better film without it.

If I were to write a letter to Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg here is a possible excerpt from what I would say, “I have one question to both of you gentleman, what were you thinking? Are the both of you that out of touch? Michael, it is obvious you have mastered the visual side of film making but fall short in the art of telling the story with those visuals. I would highly suggest going back to school and relearning this necessary component of filmmaking. Steven, are you hanging out too much with George Lucas? The Autobot “twins” are a horrifying reminder of Jar-Jar Binks from the failed Star Wars prequels. Please read the script next time before you give the green light for a film of this nature.”

Visually the filming is stunning and action packed. However with all of Bay’s films, it lacks substance of plot. Their attempt to incorporate the mythology of the comic books and some of the animated series is weak at best. They attempt to pick the story up from the aftermath of the first Decepticon battle two years earlier. The Autobots form an alliance to work together with the people of earth to remove the continued Decepticon threat and during the process receive a warning of “the Fallen will have their revenge.”

The rest of the film endeavors to explain who and what the Fallen is and how the humans have been connected to the transformers for more than millennia. They also introduce a couple of other classic characters like Soundwave, Jetfire, RC, and Sideswipe. But those characters receive very limited on screen time. They try to pull on the audiences’ heart strings during the film to keep the story going with the classic loss of key characters to show the strength of the human spirit to overcome great adversity.

With all of the flaws of the film, there are some great moments. My favorite moment would be with Sam, Alice, and Bumblebee. Bumblebee helps Sam get out of a potential bad situation with the aggressive Alice by slamming her head into the dashboard and spitting out anti-freeze all over her. Now, that is a guardian we could all use… of course we all we do have access to a guardian like that.

The soundtrack for the film is fantastic and better than the soundtrack for the first film. It is a must have for any music lover. I would highly suggest prescreening this film before allowing your children under 16 to view this film. I advised an old friend to not allow their 9 year older son to watch the film as it is geared towards high school teenagers heading off to college. I give this film 2.5 out of 5 stars and should be seen in the theater. However, if you go see this film with the intent of being entertained while ignoring the tainted language and the moronic Autobot twins, then I would give the film 3 out of 5 stars.

My Two Cents: UP (in 3-D)
Reviewed By: Jason Thomas

Disney’s latest venture to improve and push 3-D back into the mainstream with the help of Pixar appears to be a success. Their digital 3-D brings the animated film more to life to provide a more wonderful feeling of being part of the film. The film UP is a great addition to their family film collection. UP begins with the story of Carl and Ellie. Two childhood friends who both loved adventure and had a desire to travel to the Lost Land found in South America.

During the first act of the film we see Carl and Ellie’s life together. Their ups and downs as they face life’s challenges. In the second act, we see how Carl deals with the tragic loss of his love Ellie. Like many of us, life without the ones we love is incredibly difficult and Carl is no exception. One day Russell a determined scout knocks on Carl’s door in attempt to earn his elderly badge. Carl tricks Russell into finding a snipe that is terrorizing his yard. Those of you who know what a snipe or better is not will be amused by Carl’s quest for Russell.

Carl is also reminded of the promise he made to Ellie to have their home moved to the Lost Land in South America. After an incident with a construction worker, Carl is forced to move into a retirement home. The night before he is to be taken to the retirement home Carl devises a way to keep his promise to Ellie. The next morning Carl executes his plan and up, up, and away goes his home with stowaway Russell looking for the snipe.

During the trip to South America Russell chips away at Carl’s rough exterior to find and awaken a softer and gentler side. Once they make it to the Lost Land, they encounter talking dogs, a fallen hero, and a rare bird that becomes named Kevin (by Russell of course). For the rest of the third act you will need to go and see the film to find out. This film is worth seeing no matter what your age. I give this film 3.5 out of 5 stars and should be seen in the 3-D.

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian

Reviewed By: Jason Thomas

The latest
Night at the Museum film reunites Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, Steve Coogan, and Ricky Gervais. The film has great computer generated imagery (CGI) and a decent story arc. I have found the trick for this summer is to go to these with little or no expectations and you will be entertained.

The film begins with an info-commercial about Larry’s latest invention. Larry has become very successful due to the boost confidence he received in the previous film. This success has led him away from his night guard job at the Museum of Natural History. On a return visit, Larry discovers the museum is going to be closed for renovations and many of the exhibits are being sent to the Smithsonian. Many of the exhibits do not realize they are going into storage and will never be ‘alive’ again. Of course Dexter the mischievous the monkey that he is, steals the tablet Ahkmenrah and the Smithsonian comes to life. This leads Larry to make a trip to the Smithsonian and restore order before things become too out of hand.

As Larry contends with the Ahkmenrah’s older brother Kahmunrah, he enlists the help of Amelia Earhart, Abraham Lincoln, and various others to restore order. During Larry and Amelia’s interaction, they begin to develop a romantic relationship. In the end they assist each other in re-establishing order and Amelia helps Larry rediscover where real happiness may found.

Throughout the film as previously mentioned, Larry embarks on another journey of discovery or rediscovery of what he really desires in life. Larry comes to realize success is great but it does not always bring true happiness. Warning: The preview trailers for the film can be misleading as to the plot of the film. However, the film is still worth viewing. I give this film 3 out of 5 stars and should be seen in the theater.

Forever Strong

Reviewed by Jason Thomas

Forever Strong is based on a team member of the legendary Highland Rugby team located in Salt Lake City, Utah. During my time in Utah, I remember hearing about this legendary team and how they truly embodied the meaning of “team.” Their coach, Larry Gelwix, main goal was for every team member to realize and reach their potential thus becoming what he called “forever strong.” Some would also say through Gelwix many “rules” also contributed to the success of his players. These “rules” also enabled many of those who have played for him to achieve greatness in their life after rugby and continue to be forever strong.

The film begins with the final game of the season against Highland and Flagstaff rugby teams. The star of the Flagstaff team Rick Penning, playing very intensely and driven to win by his coach Richard Penning his father. Towards the end of the game Rick is given a ‘Red card’ and forced to sit out the rest of the game. Rick party’s just as hard as he plays the game and which lands in Juvenile Detention in Utah and awarded to state.

During his first six months in Juvenile Detention, Rick becomes an excellent toilet cleaner as he is determined to just do “his time.” Marcus Tate (head of the detention center) offers Rick an opportunity to play rugby for Highland but under the tutelage of rival coach Larry Gelwix. Rick joins the team and soon discovers the very different coaching styles of Gelwix and his father Richard. This ignites a clash of egos and bitter competition among the team members as they work to show Rick the true meaning of “team.”

As Rick discovers the meaning of “team” and his father’s past, he learns the life he was living was flawed and realizes the new life before him will make him forever strong. This film is must rent and/or own. I give this film 4 out of 5 stars.

Star Trek
Reviewed by Jason Thomas

The latest Star Trek film without the Next Generation cast has been viewed by many as a success. I will admit at first I was very skeptical as to whether or not the latest Star Trek film would breathe any life into the age old franchise. I will also admit I did not have high expectations for the film but to be simply entertained. In recent years, I have noticed a decline in truly great films and an increase in so-so films.

What you see in the trailers and the film are actually a little deceiving. However, the trailers did their job as to peak interest into seeing the film. The film has a cast of young and upcoming actors as well as those you have seen in other films and television. I have to give props to Simon Pegg and his interpretation of Scotty. I felt he played the role perfectly and paid tribute to James Doohan.

What makes this film so interesting is how they recreate and change the timeline in classic Star Trek fashion with a simple act which happens in the far distant future. From this simple event, the lives of James T. Kirk, Spock, Leonard McCoy, Scotty, Sulu, Christopher Pike, Uhura, and Chekov are forever altered. This one event is an excellent reminder of how one’s life can change in a single moment. This also provides a way to rewrite and truly update the Star Trek universe (I feel it is a play they took out of the comic book world when they need to revive an old series and attract a new fan base). However, my fellow
immortal Jason King felt the plot was a little weak and appeared to be a recycled premise from the Enterprise series. All I have to say this, what do you expect when the creator of the series has passed on and his lackeys do not share his same vision.

The director (J.J. Abram) did make an effort to add many little subtle reminders of the classic the series contained within the film. From the classic curse of those who wear the red suit on away missions to Scotty and McCoy’s unforgettable catch phrases. It is also interesting to see how the Kobayashi Maru test in which Kirk passes on his third attempt by “cheating” is played out. I would have to disagree with my fellow immortal Jason King about the ‘techno-babble and scientific approach to problem solving.’ The film (in my opinion), is more of a focus on Kirk who is not known for his ‘techno-babble and scientific approach’ but for his belief there is always a way to win.

I would suggest seeing this film, however, go in with the attitude or desire to be entertained and you will enjoy the film. I give this film 4 out of 5 stars.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Reviewed by Jason Thomas

First, a quick rant… the dismal attempt of bringing part of the legendary Phoenix saga to the big screen in the last installment was a major mistake and many hardcore fans would agree. Stan Lee, why did you allow it? Was it greed? Well enough with the rant and onto my two cents of the latest X-Men film. The latest installment of the X-Men franchise gives it a slight breath of life. The attempt with this film is to give the fans a possible idea of Wolverine’s checkered and forgotten past.

Wolverine is one of the few comic book characters that can have their story remolded and remolded and have it still fit in the continuum. The film begins when Wolverine aka. James Howlett aka. Logan is a child who is constantly ill. By his side is his friend Victor Creed watching over him. With the first intense moment of the film we find Victor and James are brothers and they run away after a tragic accident. During their time together they (James & Victor) actively participate in wars from the Civil War to the Vietnam War and are soon recruited by William Stryker. Stryker’s uses them along with other mutants to form a special unit to full fill his personal agenda.

During a particular mission Logan has had enough with Stryker’s tactics and leaves the team. Six years later Stryker returns to interrupt Logan’s new life in the Canadian Rockies with his girlfriend Kayla. This then leads to Logan’s participation in Weapon X to gain his adamantium body, his quest for revenge, and loss of memory. Also in the film we see fan favorites Gambit, Charles Xavier, and Cyclops as they first encounter/meet Logan. The film’s climax though intense shows the lack of story development.

An additional tragedy of this film is the lack character development. The film had so many great characters to explore such as Logan, Victor, Silver Fox, Deadpool, Kestrel, Gambit, and the Blob but leaves you disappointed. This film also felt rushed and gives the impression they had more to show you but had to cut it short due to time.

Even with all of these short comings, the film is still worth the price of admission. The film’s action packed sequences and CGI sequences keep a viewer entertained for hour and forty-five minutes. I would give this film 3 out of 5 stars.

Taken
Reviewed By Jason Thomas

First, I have to disagree with some of the advertisements stating Taken gives the Bourne films a run for their money. The reason I disagree is simple, they deal with two forms of grief. Jason Bourne is grieving over the loss of a love while dealing with memory loss. Bryan Mills on the other hand is dealing with the grief of his daughter’s abduction. A better comparison would be to Man on Fire without the loss of the hero. With that said onto my two cents.

Taken is the story of Bryan Mills, retired secret service agent who gave his career to be closer to his daughter Kim. Bryan is cornered by Kim and Lenore (his ex-wife) into allowing her to travel to Paris for the summer with her friend Amanda. This sequence within the film is a perfect reflection of the ill-effects of divorce and/or parents who do not stand untied in what they both feel is best for their child/children. Kim and Amanda make a fatal mistake which then causes Bryan to use his skills as a “preventer” to save his daughter. From there the film is filled with twists and turns from dealing with an Albanese gang of human traffickers, Sultans, and betrayal. The action sequences throughout the film are excellent and the film as whole is worth has a fairly solid plot.

Liam Nielson was perfect for this role and clearly demonstrates his ability as a very well rounded actor of our day. Famke Janssen also does an excellent job portraying Liam’s ex-wife as well as Maggie Grace playing their daughter Kim. The film is also packed wonderful actors and actresses that make this film worth paying the ever growing price of admission.

Thus making this film a must see seeing in the theater or to rent. It should also be noted that film is also worthy of being added to one’s action film collection. I give this film 4 stars out of 5.

Rating the Summer Blockbusters: To Own or Not to Own
This summer was filled with wonderful blockbusters and will make great gifts this holiday season and birthdays. Below I have rated the films of the summer. The rating system range is 1= Not worth the time, 2 = If you are bored out of your mind, 3 = Worth viewing at least once, 4 = Worth placing into your personal movie collection, and 5 = You are a fool if you do not see and own the film:
Kung Fu Panda: 4
Indiana Jones 4: 4
Iron Man: 5
The Dark Knight: 5
Wall-e: 4
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: 3
Speed Racer: 1
The Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian: 3
Sex and the City: The Movie: 1
You Don’t Mess with the Zohan: 3
The Happening: 3
The Incredible Hulk: 4
Get Smart: 4
The X-Files: I want to believe: 2

Granted, these are the major summer hits and some may disagree with my opinion. If you do agree or disagree, that is wonderful. Hopefully this will help you decide what is worth giving/owning and what is not. Gift Ideas: How to Budget/Determine the amount to spend on a Special Someone's Gift
By Jason Thomas
With the downward spiral of the current economy, deciding what to buy for those special someone(s) this holiday season will add stress. However, I have a few ideas on how to relive this stress. These ideas will require one to do a little planning ahead of time and can be done in 9 steps.
Step 1: Set a holiday budget
Step 2: Identify the special someone(s)
Step 3: Identify the special someone(s) likes, dislikes, and what they need
Step 4: Create a Rating system table for the special someone(s)
Step 5: With the rating system, set a dollar amount to each rating value (see example table at the end of the article)
Step 6: Rate the special someone(s)
Step 7: Add up the ratings of the special someone(s)
Step 8: Minus the dollar value from your holiday budget
Step 9: Based on the amount allocated from the budget, proceed to select/purchase a gift
There are various ways to give select/purchase a gift for that special someone(s). These ways range from personally making a gift, giving them the funds through gift cards, and asking them want they want and purchasing it. It is up to you as an individual with free will to choice what works best for you. With all of this in mind, remember it is the thought that counts (unless you have friends and family which are… selfish). Have a wonderful holiday season!! Merry Christmas!
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Reviewed by Jason Thomas

The latest installment is across of Raiders of the Lost Ark with The Temple of Doom with a Sci-Fi twist. This is not a bad mixture given this installment and provides the audience with a pleasant experience. I will have to give Lucas credit; he is taking a step in the right direction of redeeming himself from the Stars Wars prequels disaster. If Lucas stays on track, remembers the true idea of Indiana, and the fans, he will have continued success.
***Warning this review has spoilers to the film*** The year is 1957 and the height of the cold war, Indiana Jones is once again called into action to save the world from evil. A flood of memories from my childhood watching Raiders of the Lost Ark and wanting to be an action hero archaeologist saving the day and getting the girl. Surprisingly, it did help fuel the desire to gain education and confirmed a fear of snakes.
As previously stated the film takes place in 1957 and a much older Indiana Jones is caught in the middle of the legend of the Crystal Skull myth. During this adventure, Indiana begins to see his mortality and wonders what adventure will be his last. This time Indiana takes on the Russians in a race to find the Kingdom of the Crystal skull. A long the way Indiana encounters the wonderful FBI agency of the 50s and loses his job because of their suspicions of Communism.
While at the same time, Russian agents allow information carried by Mutt on the whereabouts of the Crystal skull to be delivered to Indiana. An action packed chase through Marshall College and the town begins Indiana’s formation of mentor to Mutt as they travel to Peru. Spalko (Russian villainess) with the help of Mac (once friend of Indiana) follow the two to the exact location of the Crystal skull.
These two characters were introduced at the beginning of the film at the legendary Area 51. Were (ironically) the audience discovers where the lost Ark has been residing since its discovery 21 years (1936) earlier. After their capture in Peru and Sci-Fi twist with the Alien crystal skull theory, Indiana is reunited with his first love Marion Ravenwood or as known to Mutt as Mary Williams.
Marion and Indiana pick up were they left off with their last argument. For the duration of their capture, Marion reveals Mutt’s real name and father…. Henry Jones the III. Of course, Mutt is in denial, Indiana is in shock and reveals to Marion has always been the only one for him. The actions sequences following show George Lucas and Steven Spielberg’s desire to pass “the torch” to Mutt with his fighting abilities. Throughout the rest of the film the actions sequences are mild with a tribute to the fight between Indiana and a large German in Raiders of the Lost Ark. This time the fight is with a large Russian with a slight beef with Indiana from previous encounters.
The chemistry between Harrison Ford and Karen Allen is excellent with their limited interaction with one another. Shia LaBeouf does a decent job in the film of portraying of how Indiana‘s son could be without him around. It is poetic as Indiana’s own father was not around much either in his own life. Let us not forget Cate Blanchett’s stunning performance as the villainess, which reveals that of a James Bond villainess. Cate’s character is more than worthy for either franchise. Her enchanting blue eyes make any man want to fall her into the jungles of Peru.
Overall, this film is worthy to be a part of the Indiana saga and brings this action hero into hearts of a new generation of fans. Be warned a fan will either like it or hate it. I give Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull 3 1/2 stars and suggest all going and seeing one of the best Indiana films.

Iron Man
Reviewed By Jason Thomas

Recently I had the opportunity to watch one of my father’s boyhood comic book heroes’s come to life on the silver screen. The greatest part was my father’s satisfaction with the portrayal of one his boyhood heroes. As you have probably guessed this boyhood hero is Iron Man, the latest film installment from the Marvel universe. I have to admit I was very skeptical do to the casting choices. The major reason for my skepticism came from the key role played by Robert Downy Jr. However, Downy cured my skepticism with his outstanding portrayal of Tony Stark.

Let us not forget about the Gwyneth Paltrow’s elegant portrayal of Pepper Potts, Terrence Howard’s interruption of a young Jim Rhodes, and Jeff Bridges’ excellent style for Obadiah Stane. These all-star actors and actress truly bring these beloved characters to life and how they truly would be in this modern age.

The story for the film is an excellent blend of Iron Man’s 1963 origin with a modern update. In this fan’s opinion, now was the perfect time for Iron Man to hit the silver screen. With today’s technology and direction shows the true vision of his (Iron Man’s) creators. The film’s grade A cast pays homage to them as well. Of course, director Jon Favreau’s vision and love brought the film to this magnificent fulfillment.

The film begins in a classic comic book form and provides the viewer with plenty of background story within a suitable amount of time. While at the same time, keeping the viewer glued to the screen waiting for the next dramatic and action packed sequence. The special effects are amazing and used effectively to help with the telling of the story. I tip my hat to Downy’s devolution for wearing the (roughly 80 plus pound) armor and allowing for maximum realism in the film.

During the film, the viewer slowly realizes the complexity of Iron Man’s universe and the torment Tony alone endures. Tony slowly discovers his family’s company has been dealing weapons of destruction to those whom they were meant to defend against. His naivety towards his executive officer running of the company becomes known and almost at the expense of all he holds dear. Nevertheless, at that moment (and others through the film) he rises to the challenge and saves the day in classic hero fashion.

Paltrow lovely as ever, throughout the film gives you an idea of how Pepper’s friendship with Tony is his guiding light. The chemistry between Downy and Paltrow depicting the complicated relationship is fantastic. Paltrow’s ability to show Pepper’s deep love and commitment of Tony is perfect. She is also able to demonstrate how Pepper is able to bring out the best in Tony all the while keeping her emotions (mostly) in check. This is just another testament to Paltrow’s versatile acting ability and talent.

It was very apparent of Downy’s desire to be Tony and do the role justice. His performance reminds me of his films earlier in his career. He is beginning to show more of his old self. Also Throughout the whole film, we see Tony’s evolution from a man without a care in the world to a man who realizes the need to be accountable for their actions.

Downy’s clever wit combined with his humor breathes Tony’s realization to life only in way he can. This is a wonderful example for all of us in a world were accountability is not always the “popular thing” to do. Perhaps the lesson to learn from Tony is the true way to be an “individual” is to be accountable for one’s actions. I give Iron Man four stars and suggest all going and seeing one of the best films of the summer.

This is my two cents. – Jason Thomas

P.S. Sit through the credits and you will be pleasantly surprised for the future of Tony Stark and his alter ego!
Spider-Man 3
Reviewed by Jason Thomas

With being a very hardcore comic book reader and fan, I hesitated to see the latest installment of Spider-man. With the onslaught of more comic book heroes from my childhood coming to the big screen; I have found some to be very disappointing. However, I have found that out of all directors filming comic book adaptations Sam Rami is the champion of the genre at this time. Of course Richard Donner is the godfather of the genre. Bryan Singer comes in second to Sam.

The opening credits are masterfully done with a tribute to the classic re-cap that is often seen in comic books. Sam brings a rush of your childhood memories of reading the next great adventure of your beloved hero while remembering the last.

After the opening credits sequence we see the birth of the Sandman and find our hero experiencing joy and sadness. The joy coming from bring with Mary Jane (MJ), competition with Eddie Brock for a permit job with the Daily Bugle, and the sadness of his best friend Harry Osmond desiring to kill him. Those who remember the previous film (hint watch the second again!!!!) and paid attention to the opening sequence will understand. During a moment of bliss a small asteroid crash-lands close to Peter and MJ, thus the intro of the symbiote known as venom. The symbiote follows Peter and hides in his apartment.

This were I felt that it became a little rocky, to many sub-plots. The Sandman story showed a more torn villain with his goal to help his daughter. The twist with Sandman is they lead you to believe he actually killed Uncle Ben. This fuels Peter with a heart of revenge that will only be satisfied with Sandman's demise. This desire drives a wedge between Peter and MJ. These negative feelings draw the venom symbiote out of hiding and joins with Peter. Together they achieve Peterís desire with a dark price. In addition, we see Peter take a sample of the symbiote to Doctor Conners to be analyzed.

While with Eddie Brock you see a young man obsessed with becoming the top photographer at the Daily Bugle. After a few altercations with Peter, he becomes bent on revenge for losing his job. Let us not forget the twist with Harry Osmond and the changes in his heart. Harryís change of heart comes about through an accident and a discussion with his butler. However, Sam was able to pull all of them together in the end to create a good third film.

With not wanting to spoil the film for those who have not seen Spider-Man 3(course with its success I doubt anyone has not seen it), I really only have two major issues with the film. First the choice for Eddie Brock, Topher Grace is a good actor but he does not have the physical build. In the comic books Eddie is shown as one with the size of someone who played at least high school football. So, with seeing venom as a bit smaller is disappointing.

The second is a sequence were Peter get revenge on MJ for breaking up with him. Peter takes Gwen Stacey to the little club that MJ works at and puts on a little song and dance. One, Peter (at least to the best of my knowledge of his history) would not have done something that cruel to MJ. Second, he would never have hit MJ. This is due to Peter's understanding of MJ's rough childhood.

In classic fashion Venom and Sandman team up to destroy Spider-man by kidnapping MJ to lure him into the trap. As you well know Spider-man swings into action with an unlikely ally. Together with this new ally they defeat the team of Sandman & Venom. With tragic results Spider-man saves the day and begins the healing process to redeem the events caused by his dark actions. Thus a bittersweet ending they we so often find in the life of Peter Parker. All and all I give Spider-man four stars and suggest all going and seeing one of the best films of the summer.

This is my two cents. - JT
Gridiron Gang
Reviewed by Jason Thomas

It is always marvelous to see a film produce were there was no need to use special effects. If you are like me who has started to become weary of films that are nothing but eye candy and no plot, then the following film is for you. Just released on to DVD the
Gridiron Gang is based on the inspiring true story of Sean Porterís desire to help teenagers at Kilpatrick juvenile detention center in Los Angeles CA. Starring in the Film as Sean Porter is Dwayne ëThe Rocí Johnson former professional wrestler with the WWE. He does a wonderful job in bring to life the events that happen to Sean Porter. At the beginning of the film they display statistics of what happens to teenagers after they leave a juvenile detention center. The major statistic that stood out was 75% percent of teenagers will either end up in prison or killed before they reach their 21st birthday after leaving a juvenile detention center. Having grown up with friends that lived and died in that life style, it was comforting to see that there are those who do make it out a better because of caring individuals like Sean Porter.

Throughout the film you see Sean, his co-workers, and the teenagers on the football team grow and come to realize there is more to the world then once thought. They come to know the meaning of being a team player and that even though they are locked they are some body who has self-worth and the confidence to change. In addition, the cast and crew do a great job in portraying the series of events that happen in the life of those who were touched by Sean Porter. At the end of the film they show actual footage of the real Sean Porter coaching the teenagers and you see that desire he had for saving those kids from prison or a funeral home. Also, you see how Dwayne Johnson truly does a great job of bringing Sean Porter to life. Visually the film has been edited well and shows good continuity. There are many more side stories and plot twists but I donít want to spoil the whole film for you. I give Gridiron Gang 3 1/2 stars and a must rent.
